Chris Poulios, Pathologist-Educational Project Manager at European Society of Pathology, and Steering Committee Member of Young Cancer Professionals at the European Cancer Organisation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Live from Brussels and the ‘Vision Europe 2030‘ meeting of European Alliance for Personalised Medicine (EAPM):
Professor Catherine Alix-Panabières is setting the stage of the session ‘Democratising Clinical Trials’ and is presenting about points where liquid biopsy can improve cancer patient care.
Highlights from her talk:
- In order to be effective, the gap between innovation and implementation need to be bridged
- Access to clinical trials needs to be updated and democratised
- Interdisciplinary collaboration, including with BioTech industry should play a larger role
- Education and training curricula need to be updated.
For the last part, I have experienced the input of Prof. Catherine Alix-Panabières first hand, via the EMMP module on liquid biopsy!”
