About The 7th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias
The 7th International Workshop on Acute Leukemias (iwAL) took place on 19–21 September 2025 in Washington, DC. The meeting brought together the world’s leading clinical researchers in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) to exchange knowledge and discuss the most recent developments in the field. Participants gathered to explore breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatment strategies, and translational research, fostering collaboration across institutions and disciplines.
Over the course of the workshop, experts highlighted advances that are shaping the future of leukemia care, including novel targeted therapies, immunotherapeutic approaches, and biomarker-driven treatment strategies. The sessions provided a platform for rigorous scientific dialogue, ensuring that emerging evidence could be translated into improved outcomes for patients worldwide. The event reinforced iwAL’s role as a premier forum for progress in acute leukemias research and care.
