It starts early – before treatment even begins – when the mental load of understanding a diagnosis, weighing treatment options, and selecting a care team takes over your thoughts.
It grows heavier with the emotional strain of facing something that changes every part of your life.
And it’s compounded by the physical effects: treatments, disrupted sleep, and stress that linger long after appointments end.
When we acknowledge the physical, mental, and emotional layers of cancer fatigue, we can design strategies that actually address each one—whether that’s delegating more, creating intentional rest, or finding professional emotional support.
