Javier Martin-Broto, Sarcoma Medical Oncologist at the University Hospital Fundacion Jimenez Diaz, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“SELNET held its annual meeting on September 18 and 19 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The first day focused on reviewing the group’s progress across various tasks during the business meeting, while the second day was dedicated to an educational program. Over 100 SELNET professionals joined us in person, making the event a great success. Participants came from 12 countries across Latin America, as well as Italy, Spain, and the USA. A huge thank you to everyone for your hard work and commitment to building and strengthening SELNET.
We want to congratulate Eloy Perez Yepez, a molecular biologist from INCAM Mexico, for winning the 2025 Celso Mello award with his outstanding preclinical sarcoma research proposal. Big cheers, too, to Mariana Souza and Ricardo Regís, the first and second prize winners of the abstract contest.
Thanks as well to everyone who joined us virtually and those who traveled to Buenos Aires – your presence truly made a difference. Special recognition goes to Matías Chacón for his exceptional event organization – he was the best host, supported by Yanina Pfluger, Tomás Soulé, and Andrés Rodriguez. And we can’t forget Isabel Marín for her crucial administrative support.
This meeting created moments we’ll remember for a long time – especially the unforgettable padel match. Thank you all for continuing to work together and push SELNET forward! Some photos to remember the event.”
