“ALCSI Podcast Series: On this week’s podcast, our team had the pleasure of sharing a conversation with Dr. Aurora Lucas, a special education teacher and lung cancer advocate diagnosed with lung cancer at 28 years old.
After months of misdiagnoses and uncertainty, Aurora was diagnosed with Stage 3A EGFR-positive lung cancer. She uses her experiences to highlight the importance of being a self-advocate when receiving medical care and provides insight into navigating lung cancer as a young Indigenous woman.
