Aparna Parikh: From Presentation to Diagnostic Workup at 3rd Annual BMC Cancer Conclave

Aparna Parikh, Program Director for the GI Medical Oncology Program at Mass General Brigham, shared a post on LinkedIn by Danny Burke, CEO of ecancer, adding:

“Such an honor to be a part of this conference and to visit Balco Medical Center – truly impressed by what they’ve accomplished in such a short time. From presentation to diagnostic workup in just 2 days, and PET-CT scans for about $50 USD.

The things we can learn! Thrilled to also have them as partners on a colorectal cancer grant. This work is especially critical in a state with high poverty rates and a strikingly high incidence of young-onset colorectal cancer (40% of cases occur under age 40).”

Quoting Danny Burke‘s post:

“Today marks the start of the 3rd Annual BMC Cancer Conclave, and we are privileged to be involved. The concept of ‘Choosing Wisely’ in cancer care is vital, and we are proud to support education that helps advance this important initiative.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in the meeting especially Bhawna Sirohi, Susie Stanway, Aparna Parikh, Aruni Ghose, Ajay Bhatnagar MD,MBA, Christopher Jackson, Martin Stockler, Milind Javle, Myrna Doumit, Dr Riyaz Shah, Dr Swarupa Mitra, Dr. Shona Nag, Nita Nair, seema gulia, Vanita Noronha, Noopur Priya, Dr Deepshikha Parakh, Shreshtha Tiwari, Dr Anil D’Cruz, Shravan Sharad Nadkarni, Dr. Neerja Bhatla, Atul Batra, Sudeep Gupta, Dr. Ashish Gulia, Dr Rudra Pratap Singh Thakur and BALCO Medical Centre (A Unit of Vedanta Médical Research Foundation).”
