“Annual Retreat of the Breast Cancer Research Team
This weekend we held our annual retreat, a “check-up” moment of the year. A chance to pause, reflect, and align on where we are and where we are going.
Co-PI: Fara Brasó Maristany
Lab manager: Patricia Galván Jurado
- 42 active members, plus many other collaborators who contribute to specific projects and initiatives
- 61 articles published in 2024
- more than 6,000 samples processed in 2024
We combined:
- Science & reflection: sharing results, challenges, and future directions.
- Team spirit: strengthening the bonds that make this team so special.
- Adventure & fun: rafting and outdoor activities that reminded us how much teamwork matters, inside and outside the lab.
This retreat brought together predoctoral & postdoctoral researchers, research nurses, medical oncologists, pathologists, technicians, data scientists, curators, and administrators, a truly multidisciplinary group.
So proud to be part of the Breast Cancer Unit led by Maria Vidal at the Clínic Barcelona Comprehensive Cancer Center (4CB). Breast cancer is one of the key research lines in the Translational Genomics & Targeted Therapies in Solid Tumours programme at IDIBAPS / Hospital Clínic.
