Aditi Hazra: Honored to Share the ACS NBCRT Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Toolkit

Aditi Hazra, Assistant Director at VA COURAGE and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Honored to share the American Cancer Society National Breast Cancer Roundtable (ACS NBCRT) Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Toolkit.

As Co-Chair of the Early Action Priority Team, I am grateful to my Co-Chair Dr. Amanda Woodworth, our dedicated Early Action team, the NBCRT Strategic Director Dr. Melissa Thomas, Lilly Meier), Tri-Chairs, and ACS advisors: Drs. Smith, Anne Gagliot and Temkin for their expertise and collaboration in developing this digital toolkit. Special thanks to Dr. Stephanie Graff for moderating such an insightful discussion on the toolkit.

The Toolkit was designed with equity to help primary care providers, OB/GYNs, and health systems integrate evidence-based breast cancer risk assessment tools into clinical workflows. By comparing risk models and offering both physician- and patient-facing resources, we can move closer to equitable, timely, and personalized cancer prevention and early detection.

It is an honor to represent the VA on the NBCRT and note that the Clinical Workflow now includes reference to the SERVICE Act and expanded screening eligibility for U.S. Veterans. 🇺🇸

Download and share.

Feedback welcome on Patient-Guided Tools.

Together, we can advance collective action to improve access to these tools, for everyone, everywhere.”
