“How many genitourinary medical oncologists are in the US, and where (region, practice setting, etc.) do they practice?
In Urology Gold Journal, we find that there are a total of 451 GU medical oncologists in the US, most of whom are men (72.5%). The majority of GU medical oncologists practice in academia (88.5%).
In addition, most GU medical oncologists practice in the Northeast followed by the South, West, and Midwest. Of note, seven states have no GU medical oncologist.”
