Udhayvir Grewal, Resident Physician at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Academy Medical Centre, shared a post on X by Nina Niu Sanford, Assistant Professor and Chief of Gastrointestinal Radiation Oncology at Harvard/Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital, adding:
“Folks are quite divided over this. I 100% agree with Dr. Sanford here. People have the freedom to choose how they conduct themselves on social media platforms. There are weeks where I post a paper a day, and weeks where I just post about things I did/people I met. Social media police aren’t really helping any cause, to say the least.”
Quoting Nina Niu Sanford‘s post:
“People should post what they want, anyone is free to mute or unfollow…
FWIW I feel like info sharing/critique has improved at recent oncology meetings.
If the tradeoff is scrolling through a few more selfies, I’m ok with that.”
