Robin Zon, President of ASCO 2024-2025, shared a post by Andy Guinigundo, Vice President for APSHO, Director of Precision Oncology at Cincinnati Cancer Advisors, on LinkedIn, adding:
“Ok – yes this is my biased opinion – Andy is not only my NP he is also President – elect for APSHO . His attending professional society meetings, such as ASCO makes me a well informed and “ better” clinical oncologist.
We are a TEAM. And as a team, we all need to be educated, while bringing to the table our different perspectives we gain from national meetings such as ASCO .
Please send your NPs and PAs to this meeting. There is much to learn, and to be shared by the team who are taking care of our patients — each and every day!”
Quoting Andy Guinigundo‘s post:
“Where is the “right place” for oncology APs to be 5/30-6/2?
Chicago at ASCO. They should NOT be left behind to run the clinics in the physicians’ absence – not every year, year after year.
They should be encouraged by their physician colleagues to go at least every few years. Yes, I want your practices to pay for it or at least help offset the cost.
Yes, I do want you all to also come to JADPRO Live. I want a lot of things and I dream big.”
