Yin et al. report a cfDNA fragmentomics + ML model with 91–97% sensitivity & 93–95% specificity—promising, but PPV only ~1% in general population.
Next steps:
- Boost specificity (>99%)
- Validate in high-risk cohorts
- Integrate biomarkers + imaging + AI
Goal: minimally invasive, scalable screening to shift stage and improve survival.”
