Partha Basu, Head of Early Detection, Prevention and Infections Branch at IARC/WHO (International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization), shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in the European Journal of Public Health:
“Pleased to attach our latest open access publication in the European Journal of Public Health on the CanScreen-ECIS project implemented by IARC/WHO (International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization).
The project has defined indicators to monitor, breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung cancer screening and created a validated mechanism for the European screening programmes to be able to systematically collect and submit performance data for public dissemination through European Cancer Information System (ECIS).
This project has set the stage for collecting cancer screening data for the third European Screening Report.”
Title: Creating a data processing warehouse to support performance monitoring of cancer screening programmes in Europe using a common set of indicators
