Artem Oganesyan: A Promising Step Forward in the Field of Supportive Care and Oral Mucositis

Artem Oganesyan, Resident Physician at Jefferson Health, shared a post on LinkedIn, about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:

“Our SPOM trial results are finally published. We showed that a simple device can be of potential use and help in prevention strategies for such a serious complication, as oral mucositis, in patients undergoing chemotherapy.

This can be a promising step forward in the field of Supportive Care and Oral Mucositis.

My sincere gratitude goes to our wonderful team (Lucy Harutyunyan, Maria Badikyan, Araksya Vanoyan, Nare Martirosyan) for their perseverance and hard work. This publication would not have been possible without you!

And of course, thanks to Yervand Hakobyan and Eli D Ehrenpreis for co-leading this project!

This work is a result of a years-long collaboration that happened despite all the challenges.”

Lucy Harutyunyan, Hematologist and R1 Researcher at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center and Adjunct Researcher at Immune Oncology Research Institute, shared this post on LinkedIn, adding:

“Exciting milestone in our clinical research journey! Special thanks to Artem Oganesyan!

Our SPOM trial, focused on the ‘Bocaliner’ silicon device designed to reduce oral mucositis in cancer patients, has officially concluded with all data evaluated and published. This innovative project, sponsored by E2Bio Life Sciences, represents a collaborative effort to improve supportive care in oncology.

Happy to see the product of our teamwork.”
