Version 9 of American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging for gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NETs):

  •  Separates poorly differentiated NEC from grade 3 GEP-NETs.
  • Recommends AGAINST checking chromogranin A.
  • Includes endoscopic staging of T1NxM0.”
