“Flashback to 2017 – the first ASCO meeting I attended with Cristiane Bergerot. Fast forward 7 years later and she is a globally recognized expert in HRQOL on the ASCO GU24 mainstage.
In a project mentored by Tom Powles with collaborators including Elizabeth Plimack, Laurence Albiges, Toni Choueiri, Viraj Master, Sarah Psutka, Brian Rini, et al, she has developed what I think should be called the ‘Bergerot QOL Index (BQI)’ for kidney cancer.
It’s a much-needed effort to ensure our patients are evaluated for QOL using metrics that reflect considerations with contemporary therapy.”
