Every year, 3.5 million people are diagnosed with cancer in the EU. This number is expected to increase by 24 percent until 2035 if strong measures are not taken straight away.
The EU cancer plan is crucial in the work to fight cancer. This is why we organised “Cancer, equality and the EU’s Beating Cancer Plan” today, together with Karolinska Comprehensive Cancer Center, Sahlgrenska CCC and Skåne University Hospital CCC. It was a one-day conference, in conjunction with Sweden’s EU presidency, with important stakeholders, such as Minister of Health Acko Ankarberg Johansson and Olivia Wigzell
Together we can all contribute to the next step in the fight against cancer. Thank you to everyone who made this important day possible. Together we can beat cancer.
