Samer Al Hadidi, Assistant Professor at UAMS Myeloma Center, shared a post on X about a recent paper by Karlo Perica et al. published in NEJM:
“A case of secondary T-cell lymphoma of the GI tract with integration of the CAR construct into a known tumor-suppressor gene with attendant structural disruption of the gene product
- no preexisting clonal hematopoiesis contributing to oncogenesis
- Mutation in SOCS1 detectable after infusion may have cooperated with CAR activity, CAR vector integration in TP53, or both to contribute to the development of CAR+ T-cell lymphoma.”
“CD4+ T-Cell Lymphoma Harboring a Chimeric Antigen Receptor Integration in TP53”
Authors: Karlo Perica, Nayan Jain, Michael Scordo, Michel Sadelain, Sham Mailankody et al.
