European Cancer Organisation (ECO) shared on LinkedIn:
“We are calling the EU to not lose momentum on Tobacco policy.
Ahead of Olivér Várhelyi’s hearing, ECO joins 8 other European organisations -European Lung Foundation, ENSP – European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention, European Respiratory Society, ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology, European Society of Cardiology, Lung Cancer Europe, Lungs Europe and Smoke Free Partnership- to urge more momentum towards achieving the 2021 commitment to deliver a tobacco-free generation.
A tobacco free generation would be an incredible achievement of EU Cancer Plan. But it won’t happen without ongoing tobacco control action.
