“We are excited to share our latest study titled ‘Patients’ perspectives on cancer care disparities in Central and Eastern European countries: experiencing taboos, misinformation, and barriers in the healthcare system.’
This research delves into the experiences of cancer patients in Slovakia and Croatia, shedding light on the disparities and challenges they face in accessing comprehensive cancer care. Through focus group discussions, we’ve identified key barriers, such as lack of information, cultural taboos, and socioeconomic impacts, that need urgent attention.
Our findings underscore the need for targeted interventions and better resource allocation to promote inclusive healthcare across Central and Eastern Europe.”
