Refresher course for diagnosis and management of early-stage lung cancer by ESO

Refresher course for diagnosis and management of early-stage lung cancer by ESO will be held at Belgrade, Serbia from March 20-22, 2025.

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the latest diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in the diagnosis and management of early-stage lung cancer. The primary goal is to enhance multidisciplinary collaboration between respiratory physicians, thoracic surgeons, and oncologists to ensure accurate diagnosis, staging, and the development of individualized treatment plans. Emphasizing the latest advancements in imaging techniques, biopsy procedures, molecular testing, oncology, and surgical management, the course will equip participants with the essential skills to accurately assess and treat early-stage lung cancer. This will ensure that patients receive timely, targeted, and effective interventions.

The course aims to deepen participants’ knowledge of both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. This includes minimally invasive techniques, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and the role of adjuvant therapies. By incorporating case-based learning and evidence-based guidelines, the course will help foster a patient-centered approach to care. This approach emphasizes the importance of shared decision-making and long-term follow-up for improving patient outcomes. The ultimate goal is to empower physicians to optimize treatment outcomes, reduce recurrence rates, and enhance patient survival and quality of life.
