“Around 5-10% of cancers occur in people under 40, reminding us that cancer knows no age.
Early detection, increased awareness, and better access to care are critical to saving lives. As a commissioner on the Concord Lancet Commission, we are working to track global cancer survival trends, which helps us understand where gaps remain and guide policy for better outcomes.
We have to ensure that survivorship becomes the beginning of new possibilities and lasting hope.”
