“What does it take to build childhood cancer care from the ground up?
For Dr. Sucharita Tuladhar, it started with one hospital, a shortage of beds, and a vision to do better for children in Nepal. Today, she leads the paediatric oncology team at Patan Hospital, where her work reaches more than 60 newly diagnosed children each year.
She’s also improving national care protocols, creating diagnostic support funds, and helping shape Nepal’s role as a World Health Organization Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer (GICC) focus country.
In June, we welcomed her to our London office to hear about the challenges and breakthroughs – and why persistence, not scale, is what drives real progress.
Read about her journey, her work, and how our partnership is helping reach more children with cancer.”
