Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared on LinkedIn:
“By 2050, there could be 35 million new cancer cases every year, hitting low-and-middle-income countries the hardest.
Behind each and every one of these 35 million is a person – someone’s child, parent, partner, or friend. Every cancer case places a heavy burden on families, communities, and economies.
Ahead of the upcoming UN High-level Meeting on NCDs, and UICC’s next World Cancer Declaration, Ulrika Årehed Kågström, President of UICC and Secretary-General of the Swedish Cancer Society Cancerfonden, calls on the cancer community to help make the second half of 2025 count.
