My congratulations to Teodoro Herbosa, Health Minister of the Philippines, on his election to serve as the WHA78 President. I look forward to working closely with you in the upcoming days.
And my deep thanks to Swiss Federal Councillor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider for opening Assembly and for expressing strong support for the World Health Organization and multilateralism. We welcome the new contribution of $80 million for our lifesaving work.
