Sumanta K. Pal, Co-director of City of Hope’s Kidney Cancer Program, shared a post on X:
“So proud of our incredible Medical Oncology Department at City of Hope! Enjoyed spending this morning reviewing our collective accomplishments and future directions during our departmental retreat!
Some highlights:
- Our solid tumor cell therapy portfolio, driven by Elizabeth Lihua Budde, Tanya Dorff, et al.
- Increasing focus on the microbiome with authorities in the field like Greg Caporaso, Robert Jenq, and Marcel van den Brink joining our campus.
- Incredible work in precision oncology (e.g., KRASG12C studies led by Dr. Marwan G. Fakih).
- Efforts to expand geographically, led by Alan H Bryce et al, with expansion of our clinical trials efforts by Edward S. Kim.
- Young investigators submitting (and winning!) high-quality grants Alex Chehrazi-Raffle, Alexis LeVee).
- Huge efforts to bring integrative oncology forward by Rich Lee et al.
Of note: We are recruiting! If you have interests in sarcoma, lung cancer, breast cancer and more, DM me!”
