“Breast cancer: Is still impacting 1 in 8 women worldwide. While research from the American Cancer Society showed a strong improvement in reducing mortality, there are still significant gaps in minorities, lower income and rural women.
But here’s the good news: 90% of those diagnosed live beyond 5 years, and lifestyle medicine plays a crucial role in improving outcomes and many of the habits of lifestyle are FREE!
How lifestyle can make a difference:
Smart nutrition: Whole foods to fuel recovery.
Stay active: Exercise = better treatment outcomes.
Cut the sugar: Ditch sugary drinks for added health benefits.
What else? Lifestyle improves quality of life, even beyond what we have in the science!
From research to results:
The LEANer trial revealed women undergoing chemo who adopted a diet and exercise program saw their complete response rates jump from 28.1% to 52.5%!
