“It was a real challenge to go through the minds of my colleagues from chest department who were convinced that ((patients with advanced stage lung cancer will never live more than 6 months, and we should let them die in peace with no treatment))
Yesterday’s meeting was difficult, but I really enjoyed discussing research evidence to the group of pulmonologists, who refer thoracic tumours cases to oncology departments.
During discussion, we highlighted the importance of awareness not only through our community but also through all medical personnel who are responsible for patient referrals to oncologists.”
