National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a nonprofit organization that provides tools, structure, community, and encouragement to help people find their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds — on and off the page.
Its flagship program is an annual, international creative writing event in which participants attempt to write a 50,000-word manuscript during the month of November.
Pauline Funchain, Medical Oncologist and Associate Professor at University Medical Line, shared a post on X about the upcoming event of NaNoWriMo:
“Yes it is happening. Academic NaNoWriMo returns in 2 weeks. Join us to write a manuscript NaMaWriMo, grant NaGraWriMo, or book in one month.
30 days of daily commitment:
- Manuscript = 3000 word = 100 words/day,
- 6 page R01 in Arial 11 = 1/5 page per day = 100 words/day.”
