“I recently spoke about a bold but necessary step forward: regional procurement of game-changing (cancer) drugs and therapies across Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Too often, life-saving “magic bullet” drugs are priced out of reach for patients in middle-income countries. By leveraging ASEAN’s collective bargaining power, we have a real opportunity to:
- Secure more affordable prices
- Ensure timely access
- Build stronger regional resilience in cancer care
