“Last week, four advocates from Lung Cancer Europe member organisations took part in WECAN Academy 2025 – a European training programme for cancer advocacy.
From HTA to clinical trials to the lived reality of pushing for better access, it was a full-on few days of learning, connection and big ideas.
Angeliki Souri (LuCE VP and FairLife Lung Cancer Care) joined the Advanced Track, while Soumitra Böse (EGFR Positive Lung Cancer UK, Treasurer), Geoff Otterman (ALK Positive Lung Cancer UK, Treasurer), and Erika Pataki (Lélek-zet Egyesület) took part in the SmartStart Track for emerging patient advocates.
A huge thanks to WECAN and to the LuCE members who made this possible. The real work continues now – back in our communities.”
