Justin Barnes, Former Radiation Oncology Resident at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, shared a post on X:
“Honored to receive The Radiological Society of North America Roentgen research award at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis Radiation Oncology graduation.
Reflecting on my time in residency, I’ve been able to accomplish WAY more than I had (ambitiously) hoped for when starting.
Would love to share some highlights and especially some thanks.
Some highlights:
- Obtaining funding (ASCO, Conquer Cancer, the ASCO foundation YIA)
- Opening a trial and completing accrual (NCT06582849)
- Working with some great trainees (who I’ve been able to watch receive their own awards)!
I feel so lucky to have found mentors, collaborators, and friends who’ve helped me pursue my passions of improving access to care!
Thank you Kimberly Johnson, Fumiko Ladd Chino, Robin Yabroff (and others not on twitterX: Dennis Tolley, Nosa Osazuwa-Peters, and Joanna Yang).”
