Janna Sisakyan, Assistant Managing Editor at OncoDaily, shared on LinkedIn:
“I spent the past 8 days at the Antoine Beclere Hospital in Paris for an observership, where I had the opportunity to spend each day in a different department, with the majority of my time in the GI endoscopy department and some days in the OR.
The diversity of cases and the level of expertise I witnessed were truly remarkable.
What truly stood out, though, was the connection with patients. Despite the language barrier (which sometimes meant a bit of creative sign language!), it was clear that empathy and communication go beyond words.
This short time in Paris has been incredibly valuable and eye-opening. It has already changed my perspective on patient care, the role of technology in medicine, and what it means to be a compassionate doctor.
I am excited to carry these lessons forward in my future medical career!”
