Iryna Zherka, Senior Researcher at Belarus National Cancer Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I was thrilled to present our latest findings on the tumor microenvironment in uveal melanoma at ESMO TAT Asia 2025. Our integrated analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing and proteomics data revealed the complement system’s role in establishing an immunosuppressive microenvironment, uncovering promising therapeutic targets.
This work owes its success to:
- The exceptional mentorship of my Oxford supervisor, Monica Olcina, and her lab members;
- Our wonderful collaboration with the Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group (special thanks to Sarah Coupland, and Helen Kalirai);
- My ESMO mentor, Herbert Loong, MBBS FRCP FASCO generous invitation to present at this premier conference.
Hong Kong provided the perfect backdrop for the scientific exchanges. The insightful discussions with clinicians and researchers have given me valuable new perspectives that will directly inform our ongoing work.”
