“The recently published EU long-term budget proposal shifts political priorities towards competitiveness and defence.
But it’s vital that we do not lose sight of the ambitious social initiatives which improve the lives of all Europeans.
The European Cancer Organisation calls on decision-makers to:
- Re-energise initiatives showing so much initial progress: Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan and the EU Mission on Cancer;
- Secure adequate financing for social policies in the long-term budget.
- Address crises and inequalities.
