“It was a true pleasure to be invited to the first-ever Colombian Conference of Surgical Oncology, organized by the newly founded Colombian Society of Surgical Oncology (ACCIONCOL).
Such a joy to lecture about retroperitoneal sarcoma treatment, a panel discussing the role of surgery in stage 3 melanoma in a developing field, and brainstorming on the potential role of a national society of surgical oncology to improve the outcome of all cancer patients in Colombia.
It was a very inspirational get-together, and the hospitality of our Colombian colleagues was truly heartwarming.
