“Lynn Leiro, a 39-year-old legal assistant, leveraged her social media savvy to navigate the most difficult journey of her life: triple-negative breast cancer, followed by acute lymphocytic leukemia.
She shared her story every step of the way, while her supporters on Instagram helped connect her with the right doctors and treatment at City of Hope.
They also encouraged her to use her voice and be heard, reminding her: ‘Never feel like you’re being a burden just because you’re asking questions.’
