Chandler Park, Advisory Dean and Clinical Professor at University of Louisville School of Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“White Coat Ceremony
Students step forward – not just into white coats but into purpose. To serve as an Advisory Dean is to walk beside them to light a lamp when the nights get long to remind them that medicine is more than science —
It is a soul.
It is a service.
It is a story.
A moment that marks the beginning of their journey into medicine and their lifelong commitment to empathy, integrity, and life long learning.
As I watch these future physicians take their first steps into a lifelong calling, I’m reminded of my own journey—and the mentors who believed in me. I hope to be that kind of guide for them.
The future of medicine begins with moments like this—and I am very proud of the incoming medical school class of 2029.”
