Thanks to the NFL Alumni Association, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Brad Hopkins, Derrick Mason, Al Smith, Kevin Dyson for Gear Up Against Cancer campaign. Tennessee is one of the 1st states. TY for sharing these very personal stories. SO IMPACTFUL!
CRC screening can save your life
New screening age >/= 45 yo or earlier (if there is a family history)
Learn about your family history
If a noncancerous polyp is found, it will be removed during the colonoscopy
If you or a family member has unresolved bowel symptoms (blood in stool, change in consistency, pain or urgency, weight loss, etc.,) pls see a physician
CRC is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death for men and women combined.
Brad Hopkins stated it well, “Be proactive don’t be reactive with cancer screening””
