Arutha Kulasinghe: A Non-Invasive Approach to Monitor Dynamic Changes in Tumour and Immune Signatures in NSCLC

Arutha Kulasinghe, Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow at The University of Queensland, shared on LinkedIn:

“Plasma proteomics offers a non-invasive approach to monitor dynamic changes in tumour and immune signatures in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Leveraging both HighPlex SomaScan 7K and High Sensitivity Nulisa Seq panels, we profiled blood samples pre/post surgery in early stage lung cancer, and prior to and on immunotherapy in the more advanced setting.

The high dimensional data was analysed using an adaptive lasso regression (Alasso) and Stabl Nature Biotech Surge AI approach for robust selection of a minimal number of DE proteins that collectively model the clinical classification or response to therapy.”
