Michelle Hills, Senior Director, National Business Development at Otsuka Precision Health, made the following post on LinkedIn:
“OncoDaily is promoting a good initiative by ACS to close health disparities! The public needs to know that the survivorship rates cited for this program are well over 60%. Lung cancer is glaringly absent and this is where we all need to come together and DEMAND action to increase lung cancer screening rates which are ABYSMAL at 6%. Health systems have been a barrier with decades of excuses that need to end now. The White Ribbon Project has launched the LuJean King Memorial Lung Cancer Outreach Program in Kansas City Missouri. It’s a small grant from the Masonic Cancer Alliance at KUCC- developed with evidenced based practices at ALSCI.org
If anyone wants to help fund this grant, please join us. LuJean was my cancer Mom, I love her and miss her.”
