“As a proud father of three wonderful daughters, obviously I want the very best for them – to be happy in their education and find a fulfilling career where they can utilize their natural talent and learned skills, and follow their dreams.
I was the first in my family to pursue a career in medicine – and I was fortunate how they supported me 100% to follow my heart.
As we mark International Day of Women and Girls in STEM, it’s a reminder to us all that we must continue to push for a common baseline of opportunity in STEM and ensure that everyone – regardless of gender – is inspired by the role of STEM in our future world. Moreover, that they can be encouraged to enjoy these topics during their education, and to see these opportunities as a potential rewarding future career. ”
