Michael O’Dwyer,
at Saolta University Health Care Group, shared on LinkedIn:“Nice paper from group of Simon Wisnovsky, including my former PhD student John Daly along with Carolyn Bertozzi shedding more light on nature of Siglec-7 ligands! Seem to be predominantly disialyl core 1 O-glycans and are highly expressed on naive T cells and play an important role in regulation of T cell activation. Of course these ligands on tumor cells (or stromal, yes stromal cells!) can inhibit immune cell function too in setting of cancer.”
