Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) posted on LinkedIn:
“World Cancer Research Fund International, a UICC member and partner, has released a new policy blueprint to help policymakers reduce cancer risks. With cases set to rise to 35 million annually by 2050, urgent action is needed.
The blueprint outlines key policies to:
- Restrict unhealthy products
- Create healthier environments
- Promote healthy diets and physical activity
- Reduce alcohol consumption
As WCRF’s Ioana Vlad states: ‘Governments must do more to promote access to nutritious foods and protect public health from commercial interests.'”
