“We frequently discuss the link between smoking and cancer. But what about alcohol?
Here’s the reality:
- 100,000 cancer cases and 20,000 deaths annually in the U.S.
- Even one daily drink increases cancer risk
- Most people don’t know the dangers
The numbers don’t lie:
- Globally, alcohol is linked to 740,000 cancer cases each year
- Moderate drinking raises the risk for seven types of cancer
- Alcohol increases lung cancer risk, even in non-smokers
So, what can we do? The first step is awareness.
Let’s turn these facts into actionable change:
- Share resources from trusted organizations like NCI, CDC, and WCRF
- Collaborate with experts to amplify evidence-based solutions
- Start conversations to ensure this issue is heard
Every small action counts. Together, we can make a difference.
