Elvina Almuradova, Associate Professor of Oncology at IEO (European Institute of Oncology), shared on LinkedIn:
“A recent study in The Lancet Oncology reports rising rates of early-onset colorectal cancer (CRC) in 27 of 50 countries, with the sharpest increases in New Zealand, Chile, Puerto Rico, and England. In contrast, CRC rates in older adults are stabilizing or declining in many regions.
The study calls for urgent efforts to identify causes, raise awareness, and improve early detection to address this growing public health concern.”
