“Socio-cultural barriers and widespread stigma are hindering early breast cancer detection in Africa, with just 30-40% of women being diagnosed at early stages.
The newly launched Africa Breast Cancer Council is a group of pioneering women – oncologists, surgeons, first ladies, advocates, a former minister and an economist – coming together to drive policy change to tackle the disease.”
