Childhood Cancer International posted the following on LinkedIn:
“Childhood Cancer survivors recognize long term follow-up care as one of their biggest challenges. Parents, as well as healthcare professionals, agree with that.
But what do we mean by Long Term Follow-Up Care (LTFU Care)? We mean the adequate care one should receive after the treatment, a care that is crucial to help survivors thrive in the years beyond remission. That care expands from check-ups and health monitoring to rehabilitation and recovery support, psychosocial care, lifestyle guidance as well as customized care to effectively address late effects.”
