NCI Center for Cancer Research shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Congratulations to 2024 AAAS Martin and Rose Wachtel Cancer Research Award Recipient Álvaro Quintanal-Villalonga, Ph.D., formerly of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
At the end of last week, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (Science Translational Medicine) and CCR co-hosted the presentation of this award and subsequent lecture by Dr. Quintanal-Villalonga, which is titled, “Understanding plasticity as a mechanism of resistance to therapy in cancer.”
The AAAS Martin and Rose Wachtel Cancer Research Award is an annual award, funded by an endowment established through a generous bequest from Martin L. Wachtel, which honors early-career investigators who have performed outstanding work in the field of cancer research.”
